Amazon is taking over pretty much everything.

The online retailer announced Monday it was launching Amazon Cash, a new service that allows people to add cash to their Amazon.com balance by flashing a barcode at a participating retailer. Once a consumer shows the barcode, cash is applied to their online Amazon account.

Amazon Cash will be available at retailers across the country, including CVS Pharmacy, Speedway, Kum & Go, D&W Fresh Market. Others will be added in the future.

Amazon Cash appeals to people who don’t necessarily have a bank account or debit card. It allows consumers who use cash a hassle-free way to add credit to their Amazon account.

Once the barcode is scanned, the funds are available instantly and can be used anywhere on Amazon’s site.
