TechCrunch: App stores saw record revenue and downloads in Q1 2017
App store analytics firm App Annie attributes Q1 growth to China’s impact in the market.
Mobile apps saw a record number of downloads in the first quarter of the year. According to a recent TechCrunch article, downloads grew by 15 percent to reach nearly 25 billion worldwide across both iOS and Android operating systems.
Consumer spend also grew 45 percent reaching $15 billion across iOS and Android worldwide.
These numbers come from app store analytics firm App Annie which attributes this growth to China’s impact and its growth on iOS.
