TechCrunch: Target Begins Testing Next-Day Delivery with “Target Restock” Service
Target is currently testing an employee-only trial with hopes of a soft launch later in the summer.
Target announced Monday that it’s testing a next-day delivery service called “Target Restock.”
The service is currently being tested with employees and is expected to have a soft launch this summer.
The focus of Target Restock is household items, beauty and personal care and dry goods. The service will initially be open to customers who are REDcard holders.
“Focusing on REDcard guests also allows us to build a more personalized experience for guests who take part in the pilot,” a Target spokesperson said to TechCrunch.
Target Restock is expected to compete with Amazon’s Prime Pantry.
