It’s not quite 18 million, but it’s still the most retweets ever.

At about 3.5 million retweets, Carter Wilkerson is the most retweeted person on Twitter. Wilkerson asked Wendy’s on Twitter how my retweets he would need for a year’s supply of chicken nuggets. The fast food restaurant replied with “18 million.” The tweet ended up going viral with stars like "Breaking Bad"'s Aaron Paul and companies such as Microsoft and Google endorsing it.

While he fell about 14 million retweets short, but it’s still a new record, surpassing Ellen DeGeneres' Academy Award selfie tweet. Despite falling short, Wendy’s is still giving him a year’s supply of free nuggets and making a $100,000 donation to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in Wilkerson’s name.
