It&rsquo;s not quite 18 million, but it&rsquo;s still the most retweets ever.

At about 3.5 million retweets, Carter Wilkerson is the most retweeted person on Twitter. Wilkerson asked Wendy&rsquo;s on Twitter how my retweets he would need for a year&rsquo;s supply of chicken nuggets. The fast food restaurant replied with &ldquo;18 million.&rdquo; The tweet ended up going viral with stars like &quot;Breaking Bad&quot;&#39;s Aaron Paul and companies such as Microsoft and Google endorsing it.

While he fell about 14 million retweets short, but it&rsquo;s still a new record, surpassing Ellen DeGeneres&#39; Academy Award selfie <a href="https://twitter.com/theellenshow/status/440322224407314432?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=techcrunch-the-nuggsforcarter-kid-has-set-the-record-for-most-retweets-ever-12124" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">tweet</a>. Despite falling short, Wendy&rsquo;s is still giving him a year&rsquo;s supply of free nuggets and making a $100,000 donation to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption in Wilkerson&rsquo;s name.&nbsp;
