Carpet cleaning and repair franchise The Carpet Chemist has established itself as a one-stop-shop for all carpet and flooring needs and distinguished itself as a leading franchise investment by providing a low-overhead model equipped to meet increasing consumer demand. As The Carpet Chemist continues to grow outside of its home market in Kentucky, it is now seeking qualified franchisees in Columbus, Ohio to introduce the brand to consumers throughout the market.

The carpet cleaning and repair franchise provides a comprehensive service menu for carpet cleaning, stretching, dying and virtually any form of repair that a client may need. The brand’s array of services allows it to meet a wide range of client demands. Paired with the growing population in Columbus, the brand anticipates sustained growth and development in an area where consumer demand is growing quickly.

Brandon Cerrito created The Carpet Chemist in 2017 upon recognizing a growing need for the brand’s services, and he designed a model fit to handle the rigors of a market exactly like Columbus. “It’s the perfect recipe for expansion for us,” he said. “We’re able to showcase our business model with extreme proximity to our franchisor headquarters, which will help us offer some close support for all prospective franchisees.”

The Carpet Chemist offers a low-overhead franchise setup that is able to take on duties quickly and effectively after a franchise agreement is signed. The brand offers a business model that does not require sizable staffing requirements, and with a dedicated training system in place, The Carpet Chemist is able to provide consistent service while giving each business owner the keys to success.

“We had people interested in our services long before the pandemic, and our demand has remained high despite the ever-changing landscape,” Cerrito said. “If anything, the demand for our brand has increased — more people are aware of their homes than ever.”

This changing consumer landscape has allowed The Carpet Chemist to showcase itself in new markets and to target an ambitious plan for expansion as the brand continues to develop a cutting-edge business model. “Everything is in place for us to pursue sustained expansion,” Cerrito said. “Now, we  simply have to secure the right franchisees that are excited about the service we offer.”

The real estate landscape in greater Columbus is a key reason The Carpet Chemist is looking toward brand expansion. 21 percent more homes are being constructed in the metro area compared to just a year ago, and the demand for carpet servicing has only progressed further under this housing expansion.

The brand welcomed more than 1,200 new customers in 2020, and the growth has only continued to progress in 2021. “We’ve made it a point to set ambitious goals,” said Eric Anderson, president of The Carpet Chemist. “Our sustained consumer demand has only grown as we’ve been able to prove ourselves even further.”

The Carpet Chemist is looking to grow further in the Midwest, targeting markets like Lexington, Kentucky; Nashville, Tennessee; Cincinnati, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; St. Louis, Missouri; and Chicago, Illinois for additional expansion. Each territory will ideally consist of a population of up to 300,000 residents, while franchisees will be assigned territories based on location and availability.
