More than 250,000 service members nationwide begin the transition back to civilian life each year according to the National Center for Veterans Analysis & Statistics. Many making this transition lean towards entrepreneurial pursuits leading to business ownership. Army Veteran Rich Anthony decided to purchase a Mosquito Joe* franchise in his hometown of Oklahoma City and attributes much of what made his transition successful to his community.

“Oklahoma people have been really great,” said Anthony in an interview with the Oklahoman. “People ask what branch you were in, and then when you tell them they say, ‘Awesome.' ”
