According to The Roanoke Times, the brand has room for eight area restaurants in coming years.&nbsp;<a href="http://checkers.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=the-roanoke-times-checkers-rallys-plans-to-expand-presence-in-virginia-11974" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Checkers &amp; Rally&#39;s</a> Director of Franchise Development, John&nbsp;Palumbo told The Roanoke Times that the brand&nbsp;hopes for one of these sites to be selected in 2017.&nbsp;

Checkers &amp; Rally&#39;s also recently introduced a new design that includes a&nbsp;build-out option based around&nbsp;environmentally&nbsp;friendly former shipping containers. If used in Virginia, the model would speed up the statewide development timeline&nbsp;as it significantly streamlines construction.
