The Steps to Becoming a Joshua Tree Experts Franchisee

Joshua Tree Experts, the Pennsylvania-based home-services franchise that provides tree maintenance, lawn care and pest control services, is preparing to sign its first franchisees in 2022. They are currently establishing the processes to onboard new franchisees to capitalize on the continued demand for home services.

Malik said the brand will be able to start from square one when it comes to building a solid process to becoming a franchisee as new owners come on board.

To start the process, potential candidates will speak with the Joshua Tree Experts leadership team. From there, candidates will submit additional qualification information, undergo a background check and, if qualified, join the team in-person for a Discovery Day. After that meeting, if the team feels that a candidate is the right fit, they will move forward with signing the agreement and onboarding the franchisee for training. 

Joshua Tree Experts will offer 68 hours of total training, and will send a representative to aid in in-market training within the first 90 days of launching to provide a refresh on any training concepts and to offer on-site support. All of this is essential in building a brand of culture, something that Joshua Tree Experts prides itself on. For the brand, it wants to give the utmost importance to maintaining and advancing that culture as a core philosophy while onboarding franchisees.

How Joshua Tree Experts Plans to Support Its Franchisees

The onboarding and training process for Joshua Tree Experts lasts anywhere from 60 to 100 days. Training will be done directly out of the brand’s headquarters in Pennsylvania, followed by weekly and monthly calls for a set period of time to ensure that franchisees are hitting their goals and feeling comfortable in running their businesses.

“We will supply phone numbers to the franchisees and we’ll have all but one of their main office numbers being redirected to our call center,” said Malik. “Every call that comes in we will filter to send the leads through their client relationship management system.”

“We want franchisees to be able to schedule services and do the work that was contracted by customers,” said Malik. “Moreover, we will handle the work of getting customers in the system, managing the social media accounts of franchise locations, show franchisees how to build out for the calendar year and provide them with a landing page on our website as they get their footing and establish their business.”

Overall, the steps to become a franchisee with Joshua Tree Experts are intended to create an informed process in a relaxed environment. “We want to find people who want to partner with us,” said Malik. “This is really a partnership and a family, and that’s what we’re looking for in a franchisee.
