The Growth Coach Closes Out 2022 With a 20% Increase in Year-Over-Year Franchise Development Growth

The global business coaching company is leveraging its recent growth for an ambitious expansion plan, aiming to establish 300 franchise locations in 25 countries by 2027.

The Growth Coach, the 65-unit small-business coaching franchise, is celebrating another groundbreaking year as business leaders increasingly look for support in the post-COVID world. In 2022, the brand signed 20% more franchise agreements than in the previous year. The Growth Coach also saw 20% of franchisees break sales records across the system.

“It's been a great year. We took our results in 2021 and duplicated them for 2022,” said Strategic Franchising Systems President Chris Seman. “We are ending the year strong on both the consumer and development side. The Growth Coach has proven to be extremely valuable in assisting small to medium-sized businesses to align their success strategies with current market conditions. By providing value and offering flexibility, our Coaches have continued to drive new clients to their businesses. This has driven revenue growth and helped us get new franchise owners launched successfully.”

It is no secret that America’s 28 million small business owners face more challenges than ever today — rapidly-shifting consumer behaviorslabor shortages and supply chain disruptions. The Growth Coach offers franchisees an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of small- to mid-sized business owners in their local market by adding much-needed business coaching and support. This sets The Growth Coach apart as a uniquely rewarding business opportunity, both financially and personally, in the $11 billion business coaching industry.

To continue establishing itself as a leader in the industry, Seman says The Growth Coach is constantly analyzing the evolving needs of business owners today and building out its offering accordingly. For example, since the onset of COVID, the company has been prioritizing technology by adding virtual coaching tools, a new CRM system and updated accounting software.

“That was a big initiative this year — continue our migration online to ensure we have more technology and education available virtually so we can coach from anywhere in the world,” said Seman. “Once clients go through The Growth Coach program, they have access to our business development tools and all the products we’ve launched over the past few years.”

One of the recently launched products this year was the brand’s Succession Planning platform, Seman says, which helps business owners plan for the future. Another big project was the brand’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program, which offers workshops to help businesses continually prioritize diversity on their teams.

“As we continue to revamp our business model and roll out new products, we remain one of the most flexible and affordable coaching franchise models out there,” said Seman. “We also have an unbelievable infrastructure of support for our franchisees. Not only do you get corporate support, but you are also coached directly by Growth Coaches in the field and groups of fellow franchise owners. That kind of support is hard to find. Our uniquely favorable franchise offering gets people to invest, which provides a wealth of support and, in most cases, a very quick return on investment.”

That rapid return on investment is aided by several factors, including a low initial investment — ranging from $42,000–$63,900, one of the lowest in the executive coaching segment — and a streamlined opening process that brings new franchisees to market quickly after signing on.

Looking ahead, The Growth Coach is gearing up for widespread expansion, seeking passionate coaches and consultants in markets across the country to join its network of franchise owners as it aims to establish 300 franchise locations in 25 countries by 2027. Target markets the brand is currently eying for development include California, Texas and Colorado.

“Our main focus is to continue to perfect our business model and our products and introduce them to move people across the country,” said Seman. “The time has never been better to join the business coaching industry, and The Growth Coach is a prime opportunity to achieve your entrepreneurial dreams while helping others do the same. That is why we’ve had a lot of momentum over the past few years, and we have no plans to slow down in 2023.”
