Here’s what she had to say:1851 Franchise: Frame your personal story for us. What do you want us to know?Jean Soong: I’ve been in the construction industry for almost 20 years, working with contractors. I moved to NYC in 2019, and my husband and I opened a home inspection business. We were learning a lot about the buildings here, understanding how issues come up — now we have a team of inspectors and have become a very well-known company serving Brooklyn and Manhattan.In 2022, my father became ill overseas in Taiwan, and I went there to help care for my parents. He became disabled and bedbound, and it was so hard getting him the support he needed — grab bars, safe access, even just navigating a wheelchair. My mom also fell down the stairs once because there weren’t proper handrails. That whole experience made me wish there was a service that could help people live more comfortably and safely in their homes.In 2024, I was home with my one-year-old daughter, and I was looking for the next business venture. What are your plans for growth?Soong: I really want to become a household name in this area. She'd spent her career in health care technology and nonprofit work, with a focus on services for older adults. It has always been about transformation.“I have always wanted to give back,” Campbell said. “I grew up in Missouri in poverty. I joined the Marine Corps and served in two wars. I spent over 20 years and retired as a major with a master’s degree. It wasn’t easy.”After retiring from the military, Campbell moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, where he became a pastor at a small church. Under his leadership, that church grew significantly and eventually built a multi-million-dollar complex.
