TruBlue Total House Care, the emerging home maintenance and senior service concept, has identified Houston as a prime market for continued growth. With a well-respected operator established in the area, brand recognition is strong, and demand is growing.

“We have a really good operator in Houston,” said Sean Fitzgerald, President of TruBlue. “There is a tremendous opportunity in terms of the territories that are available. It’s a great market, and we’re certainly looking to expand more.”

According to the Houston Department of Health and Human Services, the 65-plus population in the Houston metro area is projected to double in size in the next 25 years.

“Texas is a steadily growing state, and there is availability for about 10 territories in the greater Houston market alone,” Fitzgerald added.

As the nation as a whole continues to age, the demand for in-home support is only increasing. According to an April 2022 report by the University of Michigan Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation, 88% of adults aged 50–80 “felt it is important to remain in their homes for as long as possible.”

TruBlue is the only franchise system focused on home maintenance and senior support services both inside and outside of the home, and it is positioned to draw in a notable portion of the growing senior care industry. Its franchisees provide a range of services, including emergency repairs, yard work and home maintenance, allowing the senior population to age safely in place.

The franchise offers various customizable, subscription-based services that customers can bundle to fit the unique needs of their homes and families. The Helping Hands program, which has risen to be one of the brand’s most popular offerings, allocates 90 minutes each month for a TruBlue handyman to complete to-do list tasks like changing a lightbulb or fixing a leaky faucet.

“The senior population is increasingly in need of our trustworthy house care services, which is why TruBlue has been expanding rapidly over the past few years,” said Fitzgerald. “Now, we intend to keep that momentum going as we make major gains toward our goal of 200 units by 2023. Looking ahead, we are excited to continue partnering with qualified franchisees not only in Texas but in every major market across the country.”

The initial investment to start a TruBlue Total House Care ranges from $65,000 to $91,000, and interested owners can visit www.trubluefranchise.com to learn more about franchise opportunities.
