The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® name has instant credibility all across the country. North America’s largest franchised moving company currently has over 390 locations in 43 U.S. States, and thanks to two childhood friends, the brand recently added Wyoming to that list.

Rob Graham and Justin Woods met in the 3rd grade at their Cheyenne, Wyoming elementary school and quickly became inseparable, best friends. They both went on to attend The University of Wyoming, with Graham majoring in business and Woods majoring in elementary education. Graham and Woods even sported the title of best man at each other’s respective weddings.

Given their bond that has spanned almost two decades, the pair decided to go into business together. While the two considered many options, a relative ultimately led them to the right fit. Graham’s uncle works for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®’s Home Office, and invited them both to the brand’s headquarters in Lansing, Michigan to learn more.

“Once we visited Lansing, Justin and I were sold,” said Graham. “We simply fell in love with the brand’s core values.”

While TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® focuses on providing consumers with superior moving assistance and top-notch customer service, the brand places just as much emphasis on its core values, which include Integrity, Give Back to the Community, THE GRANDMA RULE® -- which means to treat everyone the way you would want your grandmother treated, Care, Inclusion, and to Be your Best and Have Fun. For two Wyoming devotees, they felt the brand’s values aligned with their own.

“Rob and I jumped at the opportunity to bring the brand to our hometown of Cheyenne,” said Woods. “This is our forever home, it’s what we know. We are thrilled to be able to not only grow a business within Cheyenne, but to give back to the community that we care so much about.”

Graham’s parents also own a local business in town, and his mother was formerly the principal for an elementary and a junior high school. Their commitment to Cheyenne with constant involvement in the community inspired him to stick around and build his life there.

“Wyoming is simply in our DNA,” said Graham. “To be able to bring such a prominent brand to the area, one that prides itself on service and giving back, this really is a dream come true.”

With Cheyenne as the obvious starting point, the franchisees are already considering additional expansion throughout the state. In 2017, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for the fourth time, and the new franchisees want to be a part of that growth.

“We’re starting with Cheyenne, but we absolutely want to grow into other areas like Casper,” said Woods. “TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® really shows how growth is possible in so many ways. Seventy-five percent of managers started as movers or drivers with the brand, and 33 percent of franchisees did, as well. Expansion is also very common with franchisees in the system, and it’s definitely on our minds.”

Tackling a new market is no problem in the eyes of Woods and Graham. The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® model and support gives them the confidence that they can thrive.

“The brand has proven to be successful in any market where it has a presence,” said Woods. “We’re ready to work hard and make as great of an impact as possible in the community of Cheyenne.”

Likewise, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is thrilled for Woods and Graham to be the first franchisees in Wyoming. The brand is looking for other trailblazers who are passionate about their communities and have interest in opening a state’s first territory.

“With the addition of Rob and Justin in Wyoming, we now have a presence in 43 U.S. states,” said TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Compliance Director Pam Batten. “We are continuing a push to spread our brand and have franchisees in all 50 states.”

Batten would like to speak to qualified franchisees to develop in states that do not currently have a location, including Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Alaska, and Hawaii.
