UPS wants to hire 40,000 seasonal employees for the upcoming holidays, so they&rsquo;re hosting &ldquo;Brown Friday&rdquo; today in the hopes of accomplishing just that, according <a href="https://www.foxbusiness.com/retail/ups-hopes-to-hire-40k-employees-today?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=ups-hosting-brown-friday-today-in-effort-to-hire-40k-seasonal-employees-2708232" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">to a Fox Business report</a>.

Job fairs are taking place today in 170 cities across the U.S. to hire both full-time and part-time employees, according to the article. 

&ldquo;Many of those who come to one of our job fairs this Friday could be signed up for a seasonal role by Monday,&rdquo; UPS vice president of human resources Stefond Harris said in a statement, according to the article. 

UPS isn&rsquo;t the only company to have tried walk-in interviews this year in an effort to create a hiring boost. On August 1, Chick-fil-A <a href="https://1851franchise.com/chick-fil-a-hosting-walk-in-interviews-on-august-1-2707352" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">hosted walk-in interviews</a> for full-time and part-time positions in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
