As founder and CEO of emerging mold and home allergen treatment franchise Mold Medics, Tim Swackhammer has always tried to create an organization that values its staff and has a system that employees are excited to be a part of. He calls the company a “home service brand built by franchisees, for franchisees.”

While much of the environmental restoration industry is beholden to insurance companies, Mold Medics does things differently and works directly with clients. Through this process, the brand can provide custom-tailored solutions that work for each situation.

“Through one truck, you're able to do all of the mold remediation, air duct cleaning, and radon mitigation services we provide. Our employees and our franchisees have found that the work we do is extremely fulfilling,” Swackhammer said.

Customers are often thrilled with Mold Medics' streamlined, efficient service options. Working with the brand saves them a big hassle, and they always receive top-notch service with a friendly smile.

“This is the best place that I've ever worked,” said Erin Werner, customer service representative. “There is a level of appreciation that you just don't find anywhere else. The clients that we're blessed to work with are so appreciative of what we're offering them.”

“Once you start seeing how you help the customers and the difference in people's lives that

you make, it does get you excited,” said the brand’s first franchisee, Michael Chapman. “I've been excited every day since starting.”

That environment doesn’t just end with customer-facing relationships. Many of the franchise’s employees have great things to say about the supportive atmosphere at the brand.

“Mold Medics is a good company to work for. I’ve never had management that makes things this easy and is trying to help you succeed in the long run,” said technician Adama Dia.

“Tim has really great ideas for this thing to grow. There is a huge benefit to being somewhere in the beginning stages. I’m excited to see what we can do in five or six years,” added technician Jordan Lancaster.

As the company continues to grow in its second year of franchising, the goal is to nurture and foster an environment of support and employee satisfaction.

“We're currently looking for new entrepreneurs in many markets. My vision for growth for Mold Medics is bright,” said Swackhammer. “I’m excited to offer others the chance to help your local community by opening a franchise and being an employer for which people want to work.”

The total investment necessary to begin the operation of a Mold Medics franchise is $83,049 to $158,999. This includes a $29,999 franchise fee. For more information on franchising with Mold Medics, visit moldmedics.com/franchising.
