Why European Wax Center® Franchisee Donn Ganim Chose to Diversify His Franchise Portfolio with the Amazing Lash Studio® Brand

As far as franchisee Donn Ganim is convinced, eyelash extensions are the future of the beauty industry and the Amazing Lash Studio® brand is one of the best businesses in that sector. End of story. 

The brand is certainly growing. Since its founding in 2010, the Amazing Lash Studio brand has grown to over 230 locations across 23 states. With a competitive franchise offering that has high revenue potential, the brand has remained the largest player in the eyelash extension industry. 

After years of owning and operating his own businesses and also franchising with other concepts, Ganim, a regional developer for the Amazing Lash Studio brand for the state of Missouri, purchased his first location with the eyelash extension brand in 2016 and opened his second location earlier this year. “I’ve been an entrepreneur my entire life,” Ganim said. “I opened my first business when I was just 24 years old.” 

Ganim was no stranger to the beauty industry when he joined the Amazing Lash Studio system. He started franchising with European Wax Center® six years ago and currently owns two locations with that brand, one in St. Louis, Missouri and one in Fort Collins, Colorado. Thanks to this experience, Ganim realized he liked the franchise model.

As much as Ganim loves the European Wax Center brand, he wanted to diversify his franchise portfolio. WellBiz Brands is the manager of three health and wellness franchise brands: Amazing Lash Studio®, Elements Massage® and Fitness Together®. The acquisition has been hugely beneficial to the Amazing Lash Studio brand and provides many resources for franchisees. 

“WellBiz Brands has been awesome,” Ganim said. “The executive team has plans in place for stylist and member retention, not to mention excellent marketing tactics. They’ve helped us up our game across the board. Training has been exceptional.”

Today, Ganim is focused on growing the Amazing Lash Studio presence in the St. Louis market and the brand is actively seeking qualified franchisees. 

“I’ve got great managers in place now, so it’s all about growth, growth, growth,” he said. “There are only two Amazing Lash Studio locations in St. Louis, so there’s room for more.”

Ganim’s advice to prospective franchisees is to research growing industries—and to seriously consider the Amazing Lash Studio brand if they want to go the eyelash extension route.
