Now CNBC is shining the spotlight on the top 50 franchisees in the U.S.&mdash;one for every state.</p>

Brands were judged on their strong proof of concept in multiple markets, their franchise disclosure document and their financial performance. Franchisees were then evaluated on their satisfaction with the franchise system and their regard for management at the corporate office.</div>

After doing her homework on the company, she was amazed to learn that $6.9 billion is spent annually on bird-feeding and watching wildlife.
