The local Christmas Decor franchise and Green Oasis of Eau Claire, Wisconsin surprised Amy Turner, a veteran who had moved from the West Coast to be closer to family, with a light display.
Christmas Decor, the Christmas decorating business with over 300 units, spread holiday cheer last Christmas in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, partnering with local lawn care business Green Oasis. The team has previously joined forces to bring an uplifting surprise to deserving community members, and this year, the recipient was veteran Amy Turner.
The team collects submissions from the community, and Turner stood out due to her current circumstances. She moved back to Eau Claire from the West Coast to be closer to her family, and with her father’s health declining, the team felt she was the perfect fit for a boost of cheer.
Turner was surprised with a free lighting display and was stunned when she found out.
“I was super excited and super grateful. It’s been a long road we have been on right now,” said Turner. “To be with my family for the holidays and then have something like this happen to our family was incredible.”
