Amanda Valente works as a marketing and business executive for Renovation Sells*, a home pre-sale renovation franchise based in Chicago. Amanda comes equipped with a rich history in both marketing and business development, earning her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2006 and quickly transitioning into more than a decade of professional marketing experience. She has held her current position with Renovation Sells for more than three years, helping clients in Chicago achieve quicker and higher priced home sales.

Valente spoke with 1851 Franchise on the benefits of franchise models, highlighting the shared experience and guidance that comes with a corporate model. She pointed out the importance of organization and a self-starter attitude for a franchisee to run a successful business, and the rich opportunities that exist for people willing to dive into a guided business practice.

“Being new to the franchise industry, we’ve discovered that the world is huge and there are a lot of options out there,” she said. “I think it’s really important for someone looking for a new business to really look for a great fit and also to have someone they can bounce ideas off of.”

Valente says a great franchisee is someone who is organized and can manage projects, and someone who wants to make their own future with a self-starter attitude.
