Zagat Names Rita's Italian Ice Best "Quick Refreshment" Concept

Rita's Italian Ice announced today that it was chosen as the No. 1 "Quick Refreshment" concept by the 10,500 diners making up the Zagat annual Fast-Food Survey. Rita's was also selected as the best ice cream or custard. "This Zagat ranking is significant and proves that Rita's is dedicated to serving up a big dose of happiness with our freshly made, delicious custom treats," said Jonathan Fornaci, chief executive officer of Rita's Franchise Company, in a press release.  "We would like to thank all our friends and fans who voted for us and we promise to continue to provide the best quick refreshments!" With over 625 outlets in 19 states, Rita's is the national's largest Italian Ice concept. It was also named one ot the Top 25 Franchise High Performers by the Wall Stret Journal's "Startup Journal" and #156 on Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500 for 2011.
