Pollo Campero, the world’s largest Central American chicken franchise with 85-plus U.S. locations and another 270 worldwide, is taking Discovery Day on the road to meet prospective franchise owners from the Carolinas and Northern Florida. The Charlotte, North Carolina Road Show Discovery Day will take place on Thursday, September 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. As the franchise works to reach its goal of establishing 250 U.S. restaurants by 2026, getting to experience potential markets firsthand and interact with candidates in person is a valuable growth driver.

“We have an opportunity to present the brand to potential franchise partners who have already shown interest in developing restaurants in the Southeast,” said Blas Escarcega, director of franchise development. “This event allows them to see us, meet us and ask any questions they have. We will offer one-on-one interviews for more opportunities to discuss negotiations both ways. It is very exciting to go experience these markets firsthand and get a better sense of the city.”

Escarcega added that anyone interested in the Pollo Campero story is invited to attend regardless of background — restaurant investors, real estate people, business owners and other interested parties.

The Charlotte Road Show Discovery Day will be hosted at the Sheraton Charlotte Airport Hotel located at 3315 Scott Futrell Dr Charlotte, NC 28208 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The morning will kick off with a presentation and a lunch, then attendees will have an opportunity to meet with Escarcega individually.

“We chose Charlotte to host a Road Show Discovery Day because it is a great area where we’ve seen a lot of interest in Pollo Campero,” added Escarcega. “There is a significantly underserved customer base in North Carolina, and chicken is the number one favorite food of people in that part of the country. There is a proven appetite for Pollo Campero in the state, and we’ve seen steadily increasing sales with all of our existing franchise units there.”

In addition to strong performance in North Carolina, Escarcega sees the broader demand for Pollo Campero across the Southeast. With a higher-than-average chicken consumption, the Southeast is a prime area for Pollo Campero’s development.

“Everyone just loves chicken in the Southeast, and nobody does chicken like Pollo Campero,” added Escarcega.

The quick-service chicken concept began as a family-owned restaurant in Guatemala with a carefully crafted chicken recipe. Marinated to the bone, Pollo Campero’s Citrus Grilled and Campero Fried chicken is juicy and flavorful through and through.

By adding a unique touch to an American cuisine favorite, Pollo Campero honors its origins while catering to a wide range of guests with the highest quality chicken meals on the market.

As it continues to grow, Pollo Campero will visit even more communities across the nation to host additional Road Show Discovery Days.

“We are confident we will improve and optimize the Road Show Discovery Day experience as we bring it to more and more cities,” said Escarcega. “Overall, we are eager to bring Pollo Campero to more communities by partnering with qualified franchisees who can build locally-owned businesses they can be proud of. If these Road Show Discovery Days go well, we will hopefully see some signings and start the process of opening restaurants in cities where Road Shows have been held such as Birmingham and beyond.”
