Kayla Bramlet, franchise owner and Director of Education and Training with Frenchies Modern Nail Care, the natural nail care franchise with 24 locations across the country, started her career in nail salons early. After pursuing a nail technician licensure during her high school years so that she could work in a salon rather than have late nights working at a restaurant or bar while attending college, Bramlet started working at the original Frenchies location in Littleton, Colorado and quickly became enthralled with the Frenchies mission.

“The Frenchies mission captivated me, and I wanted to be more involved in the business to learn as much as possible. I was in school for business, and I saw an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a business in an industry that I had always loved,” said Bramlet. “As Frenchies became a franchise platform, I continued to grow in my career path. I quickly went from being a nail specialist to assistant manager to managing the first Frenchies location. After about one year of managing the studio, I transitioned to join the corporate team as their Director of Education and Training where I was a key player in designing a guest experience cycle, creating service protocols and developing training content.”

Eventually, Bramlet moved to Minnesota to help build brand awareness in the area, and she had the opportunity to take ownership of the Lakeville studio in partnership with her sister. At that time, the studio was struggling. She rallied the team, leveraged all the tools that were provided by corporate and executed the studio operations roadmap. Since taking the Lakeville studio over in 2018, the monthly studio revenue has quadrupled under Bramlet’s leadership. This studio is now one of the top performing units in the country.

“When I was little, I had this extravagant idea of a three-floor nail salon, I think because I knew I wanted to make a big impact. At a young age, a big impact came in the form of a big building, but as I have gained experience, my aspirations have evolved,” she said. “The Frenchies vision and mission showed me that I could make an even bigger impact in the beauty industry by revolutionizing the industry itself.”

As she continues to grow with Frenchies, Bramlet is doing valuable work to create a healthy nail care environment for everyone involved.

“I’m extremely passionate about nail care industry professionals given I have personally experienced the industry at many levels, from technician to a member of the leadership team,” added Bramlet. “All of the professionals in this industry deserve healthier, better places to work, and Frenchies is aligned with all of those values.”

Thanks to Bramlet’s relatively unique position as both a local studio owner and member of the corporate leadership team, she is able to approach revolutionizing the industry from multiple angles. As Director of Education and Training for Frenchies corporate, she has built out over 120 virtual courses that serve as continuing education for franchise owners and employees across the nation. Bramlet has also played a crucial role in training nail technicians on the Frenchies way along with supporting owners through the opening process and ongoing support to ensure their success.

“My journey from the early stages of my nail care career to salon ownership and mentorship has been marked by unwavering dedication and a passion for excellence,” said Bramlet. “As I continue to shape the industry, my focus remains on providing exceptional nail care experiences for guests and team members, fostering the growth of others, and leaving a lasting impact on the nail care community. Together, we will elevate the standards of our craft and create a vibrant future for the nail care industry.”
