Sophia Amoruso talked with Ad Age’s Jeanine Poggi about how she plans to take her annual rally virtual this year.
Dozens of industry events have been cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis, but that will not stop GirlBoss’ Sophia Amoruso from finding a way to host her annual rally. The women-focused media guru recently announced that her rally will proceed virtually, and registration will be free.
“We see this as an opportunity to bring GirlBoss and the incredible speakers that we program and thought leadership utilities and takeaways that we are so great at bringing to our audience, really truly to a global audience,” Amoruso said.
Instead of charging for tickets and VIP tickets, Amoruso is looking to advertising to bring in revenue.
