The Burn Podcast: Colton Paulhus, CEO of Anchored Tiny Homes

The episode highlights the importance of daily actions, tracking progress and staying accountable.

In a recent episode of “The Burn Podcast,” Colton Paulhus, founder of Anchored Tiny Homes, joined host Ben Newman to dive into the importance of thinking big and building elite systems to support growth. Specifically, Paulhus shared his journey of transforming his health and how it has positively impacted other areas of his life, including business.

“I had the business figured out, but in my health journey — the mental toughness component — I was slacking in that area,” said Paulhus. “So I want you guys to see in real time what it looks like for a business owner, someone that's performing on that stage, to take their health to the next level. I know that I'm becoming the leader that is required for our company to get to a billion dollars.”

Paulhus founded Anchored Tiny Homes in 2019 after seeing an ad on Facebook for a tiny home. His father is a veteran in the construction industry who has built everything from sheds to 10,000-square-foot houses. Together, the father-son duo designed and constructed their first tiny homes, meticulously going over every detail to create spaces that were both functional and comfortable. Within just a month, the first two ADUs were sold. This led Paulhus to quit his marketing job and fully commit to the tiny home business. And thus, Anchored Tiny Homes was born.

Now, Anchored Tiny Homes is on a mission to solve the housing crisis in the United States as the only accessory dwelling unit (ADU) franchise on the market. With hundreds of completed and active projects in multiple states and growing daily, the ATH business model makes it easy for anyone to join this surging industry without a construction background and generate some of the best numbers shown in franchising. In the first quarter of 2024, the franchise awarded 21 new territories, expanding its footprint by over 150% and breaking into Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama and Indiana.
