What did you do before franchising, and how did you decide franchising made sense for you?Ben Clepper: I worked in the entertainment industry running ads for Regal Cinemas and later transitioned to an agency here in Tennessee. Emely and I were looking at different business options to leave the corporate world, and I had already identified a need for professional caregiving services in our area. When my grandparents needed care, we struggled to find the right services — there just wasn’t anything that felt professional enough.Through research, we found Right at Home, and one of the available territories was in our area. It felt like the perfect match for our skills and what we were looking for in a business. We’re excited to fill this void and provide a much-needed service for families like ours.Emely Aleman: In college, I worked as a caregiver and loved the experience. After that, I entered the medical industry as a compensation analyst, but caregiving always stuck with me. When we started looking for a business and leaving the corporate world, coming across Right at Home felt like the perfect fit. There’s something really fulfilling about knowing you’re helping people every day.1851: What was your perception of franchising prior to becoming a franchisee, and what do you want people to know about franchising now that you are in it?Clepper: The home care industry comes with a lot of hurdles — licensing, regulations and other complexities.
