Best in Class Education Center, a enrichment program based in Seattle, Wash. that focuses on math and English, is expanding with a opening in San Francisco, California’s Excelsior District, spearheaded by local entrepreneur and education advocate, Kelly Chen. The school, located at 4451 Mission St, Ste 101. is the second San Francisco location and will host a Grand Opening even on January 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Families attending can take advantage of free assessment tests, two free lessons in either math or English enrichment, and a waived registration fee for parents who register their children for classes. Throughout the day, families can enter a raffle with prizes including a digital camera, a Kindle, and an iPod shuffle. In addition, the first 30 people in line will receive a door prize. “We have seen tremendous success in California, and I’m very honored to have Kelly join the Best in Class team and provide proven results to more children throughout the community,” said Hao Lam, Founder and CEO of Best in Class. “Kelly’s passion for quality education and her commitment to her community makes her the perfect fit to expand our passionate brand.” A native of China, Chen moved to the United States in 2003 to further her own education and begin a new life. While attending San Francisco Community College, Chen worked toward her bachelor’s degree in accounting and child development.  Being a mother of four, ages ranging from two to 11, Chen’s interest in child development expanded, and she focused on her children’s schoolwork. To help her children enhance their school studies, she began searching for education programs in the San Francisco area and came across Best in Class.  The brand’s curriculum and customizable approach inspired Chen to join the Best in Class family as a franchisee to not only contribute to her own children’s educational success, but children throughout the area. “Seeing my children’s development in school encouraged me to seek first-rate supplemental education for their continued success, and Best in Class offered everything I was looking for in an enrichment program for them,” said Chen. “I’m looking forward to seeing our students succeed inside the classroom and setting them up for success later in life.” The brand’s ability to grow and develop successfully in both new and existing markets is due to the recognizable achievements students have experienced at the centers. To motivate and help students develop comprehensive analytical skills, Lam and his team have created programs that emphasize understanding and long-term retention through a tailored curriculum. This attention to individualized needs has helped Best in Class position itself as the industry’s leading provider of complementary education to students in elementary, middle, and high school. “Our dedicated family of franchisees has allowed the Best in Class brand to continue thriving in the communities we serve,” said Lam. “We will continue to uphold our commitment to education and support our students with proven results.” Best in Class currently has 29 centers open in California, Maryland, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, Texas, and Nevada. The supplemental education brand is currently looking to expand in Texas and California as well as the tri-state area of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
