Caring Transitions — the nation’s leading senior relocation, downsizing and estate sale franchise — is off to a powerful start in 2025. The brand sold 19 new franchises in the first quarter alone, setting the pace for another record-breaking year.
“We are definitely on track to achieve our goals this year,” said James Stapleton, Vice President of Franchise Development at Caring Transitions. “At the end of Q1, we had sold 19 franchises, including both brand new markets like New Orleans and Jacksonville and second territories awarded to existing franchisees — a direct result of our Emerging Owners Summit.”
That Emerging Owners Summit, hosted in Cincinnati for franchisees in their first two years of operation, was a major highlight of the quarter. Unlike a traditional training session, this summit featured a collaborative, boots-on-the-ground approach — with experienced franchisees leading workshops alongside the corporate team.
“There is nothing like learning from the people who are out there every day doing it,” said Stapleton. “The summit wasn’t just about tactical operations — we brought in experts like our aging specialist Carrie Combs to educate attendees about the challenges seniors face. Dan Murphy, our CEO, also led an inspiring session on mindset and how to run a strategic business.”
The new franchisees added in Q1 represent Caring Transitions’ continued commitment to partnering with individuals who are passionate about building a business with purpose. And with the release of a refreshed Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), Stapleton says the brand is more excited than ever to welcome the next wave of owners.
“Our new FDD looks very strong. We’re focused on bringing quality people into the system who want to help others and build something meaningful,” Stapleton said. “It’s about helping people achieve their dream of business ownership while also making a difference in their communities.”
As Caring Transitions looks ahead, several markets remain key targets for expansion, including Northern California, the Florida Panhandle, Vermont or New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
“Its all about growth for the right reasons — a bigger organization is not always better,” said Caring Transitions Brand President Ray Fabik. “In our case, we want to be both where the client is moving from and moving to, as it allows us to truly create a ‘caring transition.’ We will continue to ride our growth wave as long as there are prime territories and the right franchisees that we feel will carry out the mission and have the potential to reach their profitability goals.”
With 19 new signings, highly engaged training events and a system-wide commitment to growth through service, Caring Transitions is proving once again that purpose-driven business ownership is in high demand.
