Jack in the Box Inc. is taking the legalization of recreational pot as a chance to create some buzz about the brand. According to a <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-12-22/jack-in-the-box-tests-munchie-meals-for-california-pot-smokers?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=bloomberg-jack-in-the-box-tests-munchie-meals-for-california-pot-smokers-2705124" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">recent Bloomberg article</a>, the fast-food chain is partnering with a digital media company backed by rapper and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg to offer a &ldquo;munchie&rdquo; meal for marijuana enthusiasts. The brand appears to be the first national chain to create an offer embracing the new law.

&ldquo;We are about welcoming all of our guests, no matter what they&rsquo;re craving or why they&rsquo;re craving it,&rdquo; said Iwona Alter, the chain&rsquo;s chief marketing officer.

The &ldquo;Merry Munchie Meal&rdquo; will be available for $4.20 at three California location for one week in January, which includes two tacos, French fries, onion rings, five mini churros, three chicken strips and a small drink. The brand is hoping to gain some much-needed buzz with intense competition from McDonald&rsquo;s, Burger King and Wendy&rsquo;s and after selling the Qdoba chain earlier this month.
