ABOUT BUILDING KIDZ SCHOOL

Building Kidz was born out of necessity when founder Vineeta Bhandari could not find a preschool equipped to handle her daughter’s medical needs while still providing a high-quality education. Since opening the first campus in 2003, the brand has evolved into a mission-driven franchise system that prioritizes a whole child philosophy, reaching beyond the standard daycare curriculum to integrate music, dance, theater and semi-immersive Spanish into students’ everyday activities. In addition to the developmental benefits the introduction of performing arts provides, these activities serve to build confidence, character and commitment in Building Kidz students. Outside of its own local classrooms, Building Kidz is deeply rooted in a desire to make a global impact and dedicates up to $75,000 of its profits each year to helping underprivileged children worldwide, including children with hearing disabilities, vision impairment and juvenile diabetes

What Is the Investment and How Much Can I Make?

The total investment necessary to begin the operation of a single Building Kidz location is $327,000 to $1,543,000. A flexible real estate model allows owners to select a site that fits their goals and the needs of their community rather than forcing them into a one-size-fits-all footprint.

According to the 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document, schools operating for one to three years as of 2025 reported average revenues of $968,445. Those operating for six or more years as of 2025 reported average revenues of $1,704,700, with top-performing locations exceeding $5 million in annual revenue.

The demand for high-quality early childhood education only continues to grow, but many markets remain underserved. Building Kidz offers entrepreneurs an opportunity to take their next step into a business that allows them to build a valuable asset while serving their community and creating a legacy.

As demand continues to increase and gaps in the market become even more obvious nationwide, Building Kidz’s flexible real estate model allows franchisees to open schools in spaces where a traditional early childhood education or daycare brand would struggle to fit. This means franchisees can fill those gaps more seamlessly while using spaces in retail centers, office complexes or even converted residential properties to open more quickly and affordably.

Having signed agreements for about 100 schools over the past decade, Building Kidz is now kicking off its high-growth phase with plans to award 100 more locations in the next five years, and prospective franchisees have an opportunity to be part of an impressive growth story.

Why You?

Building Kidz is seeking servant leaders who prioritize their teams and the children and families in their care. A background in education is not required as Building Kidz provides in-depth training and specialized curriculum, but the ideal candidate will have the inclination and motivation to connect with the community, focus on business strategy and embrace the authenticity required to build lasting trust with members of the community.

The primary differentiator of the Building Kidz business model is its flexible approach to real estate. Rather than requiring a real estate purchase or perfectly aligned build-out, Building Kidz allows franchisees to convert existing preschool concepts to the Building Kidz model and repurpose existing spaces in office buildings, retail centers and residential spaces. This lowers the barrier to entry and shortens the runway to profitability.

Once open in their markets, franchisees also stand out thanks to Building Kidz’s seamless incorporation of the performing arts. These are not occasional enrichment activities or optional add-ons. As part of the core learning experience, students participate in weekly music, dance and theater sessions, and this work culminates in real performances.

Building Kidz has also curated spaces that allow students to Learn Through Life Experiences through role-play. These dedicated spaces allow students to develop important capabilities such as social skills and real-world math applications through practical scenarios, like a mock grocery store, where one student serves as the customer and the other as the cashier.

These experiences position students to meet and exceed academic expectations while also developing intangible soft skills that set them up to succeed as they prepare to move through the world beyond a Building Kidz classroom.

The early childhood education space was valued at over $391 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 12.4% through 2034 to reach nearly $1.4 trillion. For many parents, early childhood education is shifting from a luxury to a critical investment in their children’s futures, and this new emphasis is driving steady demand for premium education rather than basic supervision.

For new entrepreneurs, the timing is favorable. Many preschools and child care centers across the country are already operating with long waitlists, which points to unmet demand among families. New locations have a chance to step in, serve that demand and establish themselves quickly.

Though it sits in an industry worth hundreds of billions of dollars, Building Kidz has a relatively low barrier to entry. With a lower investment than many early childhood education franchises and a flexible real estate model, franchisees are able to get onboarded and operational, reaching profitability and making a real impact on their communities more quickly.

Building Kidz also has a relationship-centric culture and a very intentional approach to support. The leadership team treats owners as partners and provides practical tools, rather than generic advice, to help them make informed decisions about growth and expansion.

Within the Building Kidz system, there is also a clear sense of pride and shared ownership in the brand’s mission. For many owners, one of the most fulfilling aspects of the opportunity is knowing their business has a real impact on their own community and on children who will never walk through their doors through the brand’s give-back initiatives.
