The two met while working at the Biltmore, decided to start franchising the <a href="https://1851franchise.com/hendough/info">HenDough</a> concept in 2015 after seeing success in their first two locations, where they introduced the community to the made-from-scratch comfort food concept. The Klaassens, who are both former chefs, plan to bring southern comfort to the <a href="https://1851franchise.com/hendough/hendough-identifies-charlotte-north-carolina-as-prime-market-for-franchise-growth-2715865#stories">Queen City</a> with three new restaurant locations.“We think it’s a really unique concept. It’s fun. It’s approachable,” Paul said of the brand, which offers traditional breakfast biscuits along with doughnut-inspired fare.HenDough has two locations — in Henderson, North Carolina and one in Greenville, South Carolina — with plans to enter the Charlotte market. The Klaassen’s hope to have the first of three locations open by 2022.
