Thanks to a franchise owner’s chance encounter with a gadget at a Hawaiian hotel, Chick-fil-A is seeing profits skyrocket at three of its Texas restaurants.

 According to an article on CNBC.com, the locations have garnered improved hospitality scores from customers and a 500 percent revenue increase since partnering with Kallpod, an electronic table-service device. Kallpod gives customers the ability to summon staff members to answer questions, place orders or request management without leaving their seats, allowing Chick-fil-A to incorporate more technology into its restaurants without sacrificing its signature personal service.

"It's all about the experience of the guest. Of course, greater financial returns are great, but that wasn't the thought process when getting [Kallpod]. It was always about continuing to provide a remarkable experience," area manager Devin Deshotel said.
