This month’s analytics note is all about progression with two things: Hello by Mainland*Growth Club. Both, join FranCamp (which launched in Chicago last month) as tools for us to help you grow your business.

I want to begin by thanking all who came to FranCamp.

You were a part of a very successful launch, in which we had 100 brands participate in three days of networking at true takeaways. Next year, the plan is to have six events — winter camp, summer camp, fall camp and three regionals for franchisee growth. Stay tuned for more information there.

Now, Hello by Mainland.

The truth is, this was a long time coming. Our team has worked diligently to build out new infrastructure within the dashboard, and strengthen the stability of the platform so that we can release new tools on a regular basis throughout 2024. A few things that I think are important:

  1. Ease of Posting Content: As content marketing continues to become a critical piece of the candidate’s journey, we wanted to make posting your own content simpler so that your team can collaborate in the tool.
  2. Ease of Ordering Digital Ad Campaigns: We revamped the AMPD ordering system with ease of ordering and automated data.
  3. Comparable Data: This is a big one. Our clients constantly ask for benchmarks, thus, we have started to build one. This tool looks at all brands on 1851, giving you a sense of how much you should be spending.
  4. More Data: We are on a mission to build predictably in the funnel. When Google changed its analytics earlier this year, it made it a little more difficult (different) to find the data. Thus, we created a flow of active markets so that you can make better decisions on when and where to spend.

In addition to the new dashboard, we wanted to introduce you to Growth Club.

For the last 10 years, 1851 Franchise has been building itself up as an educational authority in franchising — on a mission to educate franchise candidates on what franchising is, as well as lift up the profiles of those within franchising. Now, 1851 has launched Growth Club, a club of franchise buyersfranchisors on a mission to grow RIGHT.

As a part of our launch, we are signing up franchisors to be a part of our club — which is full of transparency and honesty in the buying process. What you get is the following:

  1. Onboard to 1851 Growth Club for $0 up front. The only string attached is an agreement to stay a part of the club for a year.
  2. We will build out a profile page on Growth Club, which will help with SEO and awareness of the opportunity. We are also building out Meet the ZorMeet the Zee podcasts which will help promote your brand and promote franchising.
  3. You will be invited to special candidate introduction events as we build out Webinars and educational sessions.
  4. We have the lowest commissions in franchising and the largest candidate access through 300,000 monthly visitors on 1851. We are keeping the commissions low for a few reasons:
    1. You need to use the funds to get the franchisee onboarded and successfully growing/scaling.
    2. We want candidates to know exactly how commissions work. We are straightforward with them.
    3. We are keeping commissions universal — no more than $15,000. This way, no one who works with us (all employed by us) won’t be pushed to push an opportunity based on fees paid.
  5. You only pay when we give you candidates who convert to a deal. While there are no guarantees on the numbers we will drive your way, you really have nothing to lose.

We are on a mission to delight our clients and will continue to do so by pushing disruption and innovation.

In order to accomplish the mission we welcome your feedback and suggestions, as the only way we get better is through the collective. We appreciate you.
