Since opening the first studio in 2003 in the Rosebank neighborhood of Staten Island, Kapllani, who is herself a classically trained musician, has been eager to grow the brand to provide tailor-made music and art instruction to more students.&nbsp;“In 1999, I came to the U.S. to attend the piano performance master's program at the University of Illinois and performed all over Chicago,” said Kapllani. “After moving to New York City, I decided to establish my own school where students could receive the absolute best music education possible, like my parents did in Albania.”As a resident of New York, it has been important to Kapllani to specifically target New York and New Jersey for growth so that she can be nearby to offer in-person support as needed. The first DEA Music &amp; Art franchisee will receive 100 percent of Kapllani and the team’s attention.
