The Coloradoan: Famous Toastery Heads West

Colorado will be getting its first Famous Toastery restaurant in the Fort Collins area.

A chance encounter on a road trip introduced former aerospace engineer David Glista to growing better breakfast brand the Famous Toastery. In fact, after meeting a franchisee Glista flew back east to try it for himself just a few weeks later, and signed on to bring the East Coast brand to Colorado.

Glista will be opening his first Famous Toastery in Fort Collins later this year and has purchased the rights to the Denver territory as well.

“People know great breakfast out in Colorado,” said franchise CEO Robert Maynard to the publication. “We feel there's room to bring a different take than the other brands.”

The breakfast concept serves up elevated morning fare and has even trademarked its service model- aiming to bring each customer unbeatable attention every visit.

“You might have a different person take your order, get you water and bring your food,” Glista told the Coloradoan. “It’s a very different experience. But you should never be looking around or waiting for your waiter.”

The Famous Toastery will occupy soon-to-open Harmony Commons development on Harmony Road in Fort Collins and will include both indoor and patio seating.
