What makes your firm stand out as a resource for the franchise industry?
We have represented franchisors for over 40 years, providing legal and business advice at a reasonable cost.
What is the No. 1 thing a franchisor/franchisee should look for when identifying the right franchise attorney?
Experience! Has the attorney represented a number of brands, from start-up to large national companies, such that they have experience dealing with all the types of issues you are likely to run into? Do they have others within their firm who have done so as well so that you will have the resources of many available to you?
When it comes to your work, what makes you happiest?
Seeing projects through to a successful conclusion for the client.
What are your top concerns for the franchise industry in the next year?
There are a lot of people selling services to would be franchisors who have little hope of being successful because they do not know or have guidance on what it takes to be successful. Those situations result in failed franchisors and failed franchisees, which are harmful to all those who are “doing it right” and who offer strong opportunities to prospective franchisees and their employees.
What are you most optimistic about in the franchise industry in the next year?
A strong business climate and increasing recognition among lawmakers as to the place that franchising has in our economy.
