Founded in 2012 by Ashish and Sakshi Tulsian, POSist Technologies has seen explosive growth in its six years. Not only has the company’s flagship POS tool been adopted by thousands of restaurants across six countries, POSist has expanded their offerings from billing solutions to a comprehensive suite of restaurant management tools, including inventory management, theft control and enterprise configuration.

Ashish says he and Sakshi came up with the idea for POSist after searching for software solutions for their own restaurant. When that search revealed a gap in the industry, Ashish saw an opportunity to apply his tech expertise — the career engineer had already founded the telecom company TechnoApex before venturing into the restaurant industry — to build the solutions he saw a need for in the industry.

We talked to Ashish about why it’s crucial for restaurants to have cutting-edge POS systems and how POSist has dramatically expanded their service offerings in such a short period of time.

Tulsian: POSist is a cloud-based restaurant operating system that provides end-to-end restaurant management solutions. From stock- and inventory-management and billing to automated marketing and CRM, POSist provides owners and managers with real-time reporting and in-depth analysis, allowing complete control over their entire operation.

Tulsian: POSist initially started as a POS company, focused entirely on billing solutions. Today, POS encompasses only 10 to 15 percent of our total product offerings. Some of our biggest products right now are stock & inventory management, theft control, in-depth franchise management and overall enterprise configuration, which is mobile- and cloud-based.
