The top eight things you probably didn’t need to know in franchising this week.

1. Frantastic: We’re kicking things off this week with some more Frantastic news for women in franchising. While many of the top administrative positions in the foodservice industry specifically have not been held by women, that trend is beginning to shift. More women are advancing in leadership roles, which means that operators are recognizing the call for change.

2. Franlebrity: This week’s Franlebrity is Ron Bender, VP of Franchise Development for Big Frog Custom T-Shirts. For 1851’s Franchise Development Website Guide, Bender highlights what makes a brand’s franchise development website great, including financial information, video testimonials and easy to find FAQs. Head to 1851 to check out the full Q&A.

3. Frash Money: McDonald’s proved that its idea to offer all-day breakfast could lead to more Frash Money for the brand. That’s why now, the fast food giant is testing breakfast catering. In an effort to compete with the Panera Breads of the world, McDonald’s is now offering breakfast bundles and pre-selected catering trays at 195 locations in Central Florida.

4. Frant of the Week: Being bullied doesn’t have to lead to a negative outcome. In fact, it can be used as fuel. That’s what No Limit Agency CEO Nick Powills highlights in his latest Frant. Whether you were bullied in school or you’re being bullied in business, you have the opportunity to take that energy, get back up and be motivated to be stronger than ever before.

5. Franch Forward: If your brand is looking to Franch Forward with the help of a third party delivery service, there are a few things you may want to keep in mind. 1851 rounded up 5 tips for finding the right delivery partners, including finding the partner that will best represent your brand and holding them accountable.

6. Fran Funny: This week’s Fran Funny comes courtesy of 1851’s prank wars at IFE. Check out the video to see how we tricked one of our own into taking a trip to New Jersey.

7. Franspiration: “The website was not the end-all, be-all, but it was a very important stepping stone for us in the process of purchasing the F45 franchise.” - F45 Training Franchisee Ryan Mueller

8. Franemies vs. Frands: We’re calling out a different kind of Frand this week here on “The 8.” There’s a feature up on 1851’s main site right now highlighting AMI Entertainment, which creates a unique atmosphere for franchises through music. After starting out as a jukebox company, AMI Entertainment has evolved to become a tech company. Its digital jukeboxes give customers to pick the music they want to hear through a touchscreen kiosk or their mobile phones.
