Dunkin’ Unveils 'Human Chargers' Beverage Stunt

The battery-themed drink will be available for one day to highlight the brand’s new focus on coffee and reusable straws.

The latest product from Dunkin' is set to coincide with the longest day of the year at NYC Pop-Up as a way to emphasize the company's pivot “from doughnuts to drinks,” according to an article on The Drum.

The new drink called Shot in the Dark “is a blend of coffee and espresso which deftly skirts the current backlash against plastic straws with its own ‘reusable sipping device’ comprising a telescopic stainless-steel tube with a silicone tip,” the article states.

“The Human Charger will be dispensed for free at NYC Pop-Up,” the article continues. “For those not resident in the Big Apple Dunkin’ will dispatch a free sample directly to your door to anyone asking their Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to ‘send me a sample of Dunkin’ Shot in the Dark’ - while stocks last.”
