Edible, an innovative e-commerce hub with a global network of locally owned brick-and-mortar locations, views community as a core value and integrates it into every aspect of its franchising strategy.

This past December, for example, the Edible team came together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, their families and health care professionals at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta . Through a carefully orchestrated Donation Day, Edible staff worked tirelessly to deliver joy and appreciation to three Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta locations: Scottish Rite Hospital in Sandy Springs, Arthur M. Blank Hospital in Brookhaven and Hughes Spalding Hospital in Downtown Atlanta.

A Sweet Gesture of Kindness

The Edible team organized a heartwarming initiative, preparing a thoughtful assortment of donations to bring joy to young patients and hardworking staff. Across three Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta locations, the team donated a total of 400 plush strawberries, coloring books and crayon packs.

In addition, Edible provided their iconic fruit arrangements and delicious dessert boards, crafted by the Buckhead Corporate Store, as a gesture of gratitude for the hospital staff's dedication and care.

Bringing the Community Together

At each location, designated donation and product leads coordinated the seamless delivery of the supplies. Volunteers worked collaboratively to ensure every detail was managed efficiently, reflecting the Edible brand's commitment to community engagement.

“This holiday season, our team worked hard to bring joy to some very special kids and the incredible doctors and nurses who care for them every day,” said Lily Burns, Edible’s Corporate Communications Manager. “We are truly grateful to have played a part in making the holiday season sweeter for the families and healthcare workers in our local community.”

Making a Meaningful Impact

The success of the event was driven by thoughtful preparation and dedicated teamwork. The day before the delivery, the team hosted a packing party to ensure all supplies — including plush strawberries, coloring books and crayon packs — were beautifully organized and ready to bring cheer. On the day of the event, the team worked closely with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta representatives to ensure the donations were distributed to the right recipients. While patient interaction was limited for health and safety reasons, the Edible team’s contributions spread positivity and gratitude throughout the halls of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.

A Sweet Partnership

The partnership between Edible and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta exemplifies how local businesses can uplift their communities. By bringing a little extra cheer to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s patients and staff, Edible demonstrated their commitment to not just selling products, but to creating moments of joy and gratitude.

The Edible team expressed their heartfelt thanks to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for their incredible work: “It was an honor to spread smiles and celebrate these everyday heroes and courageous kids. Together, we’re making the world a little sweeter!”
