In an area of the country known for its hospitality, it can be hard for brands to rise to the challenge. Yet since its founding in 1997, Eggs Up Grill has done just that, making a name for itself as the community’s favorite local gathering place.

By providing a community-centric setting in which to enjoy delicious breakfast and lunch fare, Eggs Up Grill has created a high-quality dining experience that its guests—often turned franchisees—can't get enough of, evident in the brand’s rapid growth. As Eggs Up Grill continues to expand beyond its South Carolina roots into new markets across the Southeastern U.S., the brand is pursuing further development opportunities in North Carolina's Triangle region of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.

On top of the two locations currently established in the region, Eggs Up Grill CEO Ricky Richardson said that he sees the potential for the Triangle to hold 12 to 15 additional locations across the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill markets.

“The greater Raleigh area is a fast-growing market where we’ve already seen a lot of success as a brand,” Richardson explained. “Our Fuquay-Varina restaurant that opened in May 2016 was our first venture into the state of North Carolina, and our franchises, Scott and Rob Johnson, have since opened up a second location in Holly Springs. They have seen so much success that they're planning on expanding their footprint and continuing to grow the brand in the area.”

The Johnson brothers, who each operate a location, said that beyond the favorable work-life balance that being Eggs Up Grill franchisees allows them, the connections they’ve been able to form with their guests have brought them closer to their local communities. While initially apprehensive about the public aspect of running a business, Rob said, “Before I joined Eggs Up Grill, I didn't anticipate how much I would enjoy getting to know our regulars, but I really do because our guests have been fantastic. I love getting to know our team members, too. It’s a fun environment.”

This strong connection to the communities in which it operates is something Eggs Up Grill is seeking to replicate on an even larger scale in the Triangle region. Home to several well-known universities, Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill has an established base of highly educated, hard-working people with strong community ties that have already embraced the brand’s budding presence in the market.

“The market presents a huge opportunity for us to bring a proven, successful restaurant brand to these communities,” Richardson said. “With the growth in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill market and the brand awareness already established in the area, we’re excited to capitalize on these favorable growth conditions. The Triangle region is replete with our target demographics and has a number of established and rapidly growing communities surrounding it.”

As the friendly-and-flavorful community mainstay continues to leverage its existing footprint in North Carolina while exploring expansion opportunities in key markets throughout the Southeast, Eggs Up Grill is seeking qualified franchisees to help grow the brand in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area.

“There are a lot of people that come to us after hearing about the brand through our established Raleigh restaurants—which our franchise partners, the Johnsons, have done a phenomenal job operating—so the need is definitely there,” Richardson said. “It’s all about the sense of connection that the restaurant establishes locally. There are a lot of people that are excited about the opportunity to bring Eggs Up Grill to their community.”

The investment for an Eggs Up Grill franchise ranges from $462,330 to $653,680, including a $39,000 initial franchise fee. For more information on available opportunities, please visit https://www.eggsupgrill.com/franchise/.
