Express Employment Professionals, the industry-leading staffing franchise with over 800 locations across the world, has gained significant momentum in Q3 2023, marking a pivotal year in the company's history. Celebrating their 40th year, Express has reported 38 new franchise agreements year-to-date, including 11 new territories and 27 resales, reflecting a substantial 20% increase from the previous year.

"The strength of the staffing industry and our 40 year legacy gives new franchise owners the confidence to transition from stable corporate roles into the dream of business ownership,” said Melissa Davis, Franchising Director at Express. “Having such a strong and consistent sector to lean on, as well as a proven brand backing them, makes a world of difference."

With an eye-catching AUV and the staffing industry worth $212.8 billion, Express is proving that finding the right people means big business — for territories open more than 24 months, average sales in 2022 were $6,497,275, according to Item 19 in the Franchise Disclosure Document. After perfecting its business model over the past 40 years, the brand is a top choice for savvy entrepreneurs looking to claim their piece of the pie. Express was ranked the #1 Staffing Franchise for the 12th consecutive year on the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 in 2023, and ranked #45 overall.

Express offices are 99.9% locally owned and operated by franchise owners. Because Express owners do not need to purchase a significant amount of supplies or equipment to start up their office, they benefit from the brand's low overhead and investment level.

Express also gives franchise owners everything they need to be successful. This includes franchise owner Help Desk support from the Oklahoma City HQ, monthly regional meetings with other owners to help discover best practices, leadership conferences available for staff to attend to further their development, annual conferences, monthly in-person meetings, strategic development and problem-solving and more.

Overall, Express franchise owners do not need a background in staffing. About 95% of owners have no previous staffing experience. Franchise owners at Express can be successful if they are ready to lead a team, willing to make sales calls and have a strong passion for helping others find success. Whether that’s a small business owner who doesn’t know how to move forward with finding employees, or it's someone who just got laid off and doesn’t know where to turn, Express franchise owners are there to serve. Owners should also possess clear communication, motivation, extroverted personalities and be comfortable making cold calls and building relationships.

And now, the time has never been better to join the Express team. In honor of the 40th anniversary, Express is waiving the $40,000 franchise fee for 40 new territories across the country — an initiative the brand calls the “40-40-40” promotion. Out of those 40 territories, seven have been awarded year-to-date, with four being awarded in this quarter alone, Davis highlighted.

"We don’t foresee any slowdown in the staffing industry. We are confident that our strength will persevere," Davis said. "This promotion has enabled us to reward territories that have remained open for an extended period. As these new franchise owners establish their offices, we expect them to progressively employ more individuals in 2024 and the subsequent years, creating a ripple effect. We are very excited for the future."

Looking ahead, the Express Employment Professionals team remains committed to its mission, aiming to reach 900 units by year-end and continuing its legacy of bridging job seekers with opportunities and entrepreneurs with the perfect franchise fit.

For prospective franchise owners, the initial investment to launch an Express traditional model ranges between $144,000 to $220,000, inclusive of a $40,000 franchise fee. More details regarding franchise costs can be found at https://1851franchise.com/expressemployment/info.
