Fast Casual: Melt Shop reports solid growth following domestic, international franchising efforts

New franchise agreements will help position the brand to reach its goal of 100 locations.

2017 was a successful year for Melt Shop as the brand began franchising in both international and domestic markets. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the company plans to continue its current growth momentum in order to reach the goal of 100 open locations within the next five years.

"We could not be more thrilled with the level of excitement and interest from prospective franchisees so soon after launching our franchise program. It's truly a testament to Melt Shop's proven business model and scalability, and our partners' shared commitment to bring Melt Shop to the masses," said CEO Spencer Rubin.

Melt Shop currently has a total of nine open locations and recently signed domestic agreements to expand by 18 locations across Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Franchisee Drew Smith brings years of franchise experience to the table, having experienced multi-unit ownership with Five Guys.

Melt Shop has agreements in place to open seven locations within the Middle East. The first four of these are set to open within the first half of 2018. The brand hopes to continue to expand to new markets both within the United States and internationally.
