For the latest iteration of its Franchise Development Website Awards, 1851 Franchise did a deep dive into more than 175 websites to determine the brands that stood out from the crowd.

1851’s panel of judges evaluated each franchise development site according to three criteria: quality of site, quality of content and quality of form. Sites were scored on a five-point scale in accordance with these three criteria for a maximum score of 15 total points; the overall website rankings are based on a composite average of these scores.

Over the course of the month of May, each of the top 20 franchise development sites as determined by the judges will be broken down, one by one, to highlight their strengths and what stood out to the judges.

Joining Showhomes in a three-way tie in the No. 6 spot overall is AAMCO, which received a composite score of 11.8 out of 15. The car repair franchise scored a 4.0 in quality of site; a 3.9 in quality of content; and a 3.9 in quality of form.

FranConnect president Kieth Gerson noted AAMCO’s franchise development site has great placement of its calls to action and very clean use of white-space, calling the site as a whole “easy to read and navigate.”

As for a critique, Gerson said, “I love seeing podcasts on the site – but the last one that is posted is from November 2018, therefore relegating a positive into a negative. On the other hand, the site’s blog is very current and relevant. I’d like to see more video testimonials, which have a greater likelihood of being viewed and help SEO rankings.”

When the brand unveiled its new franchise development site in a blog post, Senior VP of Franchise Sales Brian O’Donnell was quoted as saying, “While our company’s core values have remained intact for more than 50 years, our new franchise website reflects the future direction of our organization and the strength of our brand. Our growing network of franchisees is the driving force behind our success, and we look forward to working with new franchise partners to further enhance our culture at AAMCO and expand our national footprint.”
