Especially with minimum wage rising, our rates are increasing, and as a private pay industry, I am always looking at new angles to see how we can be different from competitors.”&nbsp;Additionally, Copeland says a lot of her time is spent on billing, troubleshooting and customer service. “I am here as a backdrop for the people we interact with — new client visits, answering phones, interviewing caregivers, training staff — I try to meet everybody and create a welcoming atmosphere,” she said. “This is really a people business, so you have to be prepared to deal with people.
