Home Clean Heroes, the residential cleaning service franchise based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, enjoyed a strong 2020, thanks in large part to the support of Buzz Franchise Brands, its parent company, which helped the brand implement some effective innovations for the pandemic era.

Now, with several franchises set to open and a world laser-focused on in-home hygiene, the brand is positioned to take off in 2021.

Home Clean Heroes had been on a winning streak since its founding in 2017, but since the pandemic hit in March 2020, it’s become even more essential to an even more massive market.

Despite a world-upending pandemic, Home Clean Heroes saw a sales increase of 11% over the previous year. Things especially picked up towards the end of 2020, when Q4 sales went 10% higher than Q4 2019 and December 2020 came in at a whopping 21% higher than December 2019. With strong momentum going into 2021 here’s what made Home Clean Heroes such a hot investment in 2020.

Product Innovation

Home Clean Heroes responded to the pandemic by launching a new Force Field Disinfecting Mist, which is proven to be 99.9% effective at killing viruses, including influenza, norovirus, salmonella, and yes, COVID-19. The Force Field process is an additional service the brand offers after its professional cleaning.

The process, which involves positively charging sprayed particles with an electrode, has already seen an uptick in interest from medical facilities Home Clean Heroes services and has a broad application to any number of office, residential, or medical settings.

A Fast-Growing Franchise

Not only did the brand’s line of services increase in 2020, but its footprint grew as well.

Buzz Franchise Brands set up Home Clean Heroes from its inception as a category killer and disrupter. The skilled franchisor parent company built unique branding and cutting-edge data services into the brand’s winning formula, and the results are starting to show.

In July, the brand hooked FranBridge Capital, a private equity firm with a focus on franchise investments, to open six new locations in the Atlanta, Georgia area

“There are a lot of brands that have processes, but there are few brands that have the systems and support to ensure that the processes are followed every time,” said  Christian Pillat, FranBridge’s operating partner said. “We believe Buzz Franchise Brands and Home Clean Heroes have the right systems in place to operate successful businesses in each category they operate in, and that is why we are excited to partner with them and bring Home Clean Heroes to Atlanta.”

But the signings didn’t stop in Atlanta. Adeola Shabiyi, an immigrant to the U.S. from Nigeria with 20 years experience in corporate America and an HR consultancy under his belt, bet big on the brand by signing on to open its first location in Tampa Bay, Florida.

For Shabiyi, the opportunity to work with Home Clean Heroes not only put him in business in a booming sector that addresses the challenges of the pandemic, it gave him a solid, simple business model he could count on.

“I chose Home Clean Heroes for a number of reasons,” Shabiyi said. “First of all, most people want a clean home. The home cleaning service is in demand in all seasons. I also liked that with Home Clean Heroes, I could eventually pull back from day-to-day operations and focus on other important aspects of the business like managing and developing my employees, embedding a culture of customer service excellence, and building the business.”

What To Expect in 2021

Even with a vaccine in distribution, markets expect a long-term shift towards working from home. Furthermore, the spread of the virus has brought the world’s attention to cleanliness and sanitation in the home and workplace. Home Clean Heroes, an established brand with proven innovation in cleaning services, looks poised to dominate an industry projected to do nearly $900 million in sales in 2021.

Now, the brand is preparing to leverage its strong positioning for even more growth in 2021, targeting new and existing markets across the U.S. for new franchises. The brand hopes to sign 18 new franchisees in 36 territories, and with surging sales numbers, it’s likely the markets will close fast.

“With the whole country working from home and juggling kids, appointments, and their limited space as well as they can, there has never been a better time to invest in home cleaning services,” Joe Delatte, the brand’s president, said. “Our strong sales and successes in 2020 validate our business concept. If you can make it through 2020, you can make it through anything. For investors looking for a piece of a surging industry in 2021, Home Clean Heroes has the support and infrastructure in place to build your legacy on.”
