Kathy Turley, who is the director of marketing for  Home Clean Heroes, a Virginia Beach-based residential cleaning service franchise, offers expert insight into why these options are the best for those looking to invest in a new vacuum to deep clean their home. 

Turley tells NBC News some of the most important things to consider when purchasing your vacuum is power and size. She notes that stick vacuums are some of the most lightweight and easy to use.

“A stick vacuum is a great option for quick clean-ups in your kitchen, bathroom and for picking up pet fur. They are slim, lightweight and battery-powered but shouldn't be substituted for a more powerful full-size vacuum,” Turley told NBC News.
