Hounds Town USA, a doggy daycare franchise based out of Orlando, FL, recently voted a Top 50 Franchise for Women by Franchise Business Review, has seen incredible franchise interest in 2022. The brand is close to hitting its goal of signing 26 signed deals over the twelve months, just a little over halfway through the year. There have also been several location openings and franchise-wide revenue growth, with no signs of it slowing down for the industry.

With 20 franchise deals closed so far (equaling a total of 29 new units), Hounds Town USA is nearly 77% of the way to reaching the year goal of 26 deals. With this signing rate, the brand is looking at reaching closer to 40 deals by the end of 2022.

The company also celebrated many openings and new markets the brand entered. So far in 2022, ten locations have begun operations in key regions like Phoenix, Arizona; Spartanburg, South Carolina; St. Charles, Missouri; and multiple Ohio and Illinois centers. Another 12 to 15 are set to open their doors as well, bringing the brand’s unit count to approximately 45 by the year’s end.

Hounds Town has also seen continued revenue growth, with system-wide numbers showing an increase of 50% year over year for Q1 and Q2. This reflects the occupancy rates for the daycare and boarding services, which are higher than ever at mature stores. Locations are filling up fast, and customer acquisition rates have increased by approximately 20% over last year.

The company seeing interest even stronger than in pre-pandemic times is a perk that not every industry has been able to enjoy. And as the economy teeters on the brink of an impending recession, Hounds Town USA is a great investment option for business ownership, being about 40% cheaper than other franchises. Those low costs are passed on to consumers, who favor boarding their pets with Hounds Town because they get great care for an affordable price.

As the company continues its rapid growth, it is excited to work with franchisees to bring the brand name and its services to more parts of the country. The Franchise Business Review's recognition and its recent compounding success have stirred up a flurry of interest from investors.

“I’m very impressed with how much Hounds Town has done in the past year when it comes to marketing and building the brand,” said new David Martinelli, vice president of marketing, who joined the franchise a few months ago and is excited to be a part of its growth. “Now, it’s a matter of scaling. The white space is so massive, and the openness to adopt new technology and find those efficiencies to be scalable is where I thrive.”
