When it comes to the scratch-kitchen, better breakfast industry, there’s really only one franchise in a league of their ownFamous Toastery.

Founded 10 years ago by friends Robert Maynard and Brian Burchill, the seven-location franchise system will be skyrocketing to 100 locations with deals currently in the pipeline to back up the epic growth in the coming years.

"There are other brands doing breakfast, but no one besides us is doing it really well," said CEO and co-founder, Robert Maynard. "We take pride in our family-friendly atmosphere and our specials are second to none, positioning us to continue to outdo the competition."

The brand’s second franchisee, Dean Kessel, was shocked to see how quickly he was making revenue. After an outstanding first year, he is currently in talks figuring out just how many more locations he wants to develop.

"We think we’re in a really hot marketplace in the triangle in North Carolina," Kessel said. "We definitely have our sights on multiple locations and we’re just trying to figure out what that number is and when we’ll be opening more restaurants."

Dean said the better breakfast segment is an underserved market and it has a lot of room for growth. With Famous Toastery’s perfected concept and forward thinking menu specials, the brand is seeing explosive franchisee interest and growth.

"There is a lot of room to capitalize on the potential as a Famous Toastery franchisee," Kessel said. "The category is really ripe, so from a growth perspective, we want to do it as smart as we can and also as fast as we can because we believe first in market is the winner. It’s a great opportunity because there’s not this sort of product, quality ingredients, service and focus on the speed at which we execute; it really separates us from all competitors in the marketplace."
