Sir Grout, the nearly 50-location hard surface restoration franchise under the Threshold Brands umbrella, is gearing up for major franchise growth in 2022, as the home services segment has emerged as one of the hottest industries in franchising over the past few years.

“As a proven pandemic-proof industry, there are few more reliable franchise opportunities than those in the home service category,” said Scott Sutton, chief growth officer at Threshold Brands, noting that Sir Grout franchisees are supporting more first time home buyers purchasing homes. “Sir Grout franchise owners saw a considerable spike in business during the COVID-19 pandemic and, as the demand for hard surface restoration services continues to grow, the potential for expansion is huge.”

So, how much can prospective Sir Grout franchisees expect to make? According to the brand’s 2021 FDD and Item 19, the average gross revenue for Sir Grout franchise units in 2020 (including three months of limited operation due to the pandemic), was $278,494 with the highest gross revenue reported to be $642,070.

Sir Grout franchisees have the opportunity to tap into this lucrative model for the relatively low initial investment of between $99,795 and $152,530, thanks in large part to the ability to operate a location without the need for a brick-and-mortar retail space. And, unlike other franchise concepts in the category, Sir Grout investment comes with five businesses built in for the price of one.

“Owners have the potential to provide five key hard-surface restoration services that are in high demand given the need for homeowners, business owners and brokers or real estate agents to maintain or increase their property’s value,” said Tanisha Chea, Sir Grout brand president. “These services include grout and tile restoration, stone restoration, no sanding wood restoration, slip resistant applications and high durability coatings.”

As part of this investment, Sir Grout also provides franchisees with marketing materials, intensive training programs and business tools to help ensure their success as a new business owner. Sir Grout franchisees not only benefit from the brand’s proprietary processes and products, but also from the knowledge and support that is provided to them during training, including Sir Grout’s highly-effective "Right Start" and pre-opening training programs. Additionally, as part of the Threshold Brands umbrella, Sir Grout owners can tap into the long-standing success and vertical growth opportunities of a multi-brand parent company and expand their franchise portfolio with other complementary brands and services.

“Threshold Brands is here to provide constant support and ensure that franchisees have someone to help them every step of the way,” said Sutton. “Owners can easily expand to become multi-brand owners within the Threshold Brands umbrella. Our structure allows owners to grow laterally within our system, expanding their portfolio and revenue potential while benefiting from the ability to leverage existing relationships within their territory. This is a huge benefit that Sir Grout offers over other franchise players in the industry.”

Now, Sir Grout is looking for creative self-starters who want to take control of their lives by being their own boss and working towards financial and personal independence.
