Catie Delahanty, a first-time business owner and mom, has found success after deciding to invest in a Tippi Toes franchise in South Florida.

Tippi Toes, the 38-unit and growing children’s enrichment franchise, continues to expand across the U.S. thanks to its dedicated network of loyal clients and ambitious franchisees.
One of those franchisees is Catie Delahanty, who serves territories across South Florida. Delahanty entered the franchising industry as a first-time business owner when she purchased her first Tippi Toes franchise in October of 2021. Her decision to invest in Tippi Toes was driven by her passion for coaching, cheerleading and her love for children. As a mom to her now four-year-old daughter, Delahanty was introduced to Tippi Toes when she searched for dance classes in her area for her daughter to participate in. However, she quickly learned there were few options available. Delahanty’s niece, who lives in Daytona Beach, Florida, had previously taken classes with Tippi Toes. Delahanty’s interest was piqued, and she saw this as the perfect opportunity to bring Tippi Toes to Broward County, and eventually to the Boca Raton area.
Although she herself had no dancing experience, Delahanty found comfort in the guidebook and business model provided by Tippi Toes, which helped her learn how to run a successful business. Her entrepreneurial spirit comes from her parents, who were also entrepreneurs, and her lifelong dream of owning her own business.
“I’ve always wanted to own my own business. It’s been a dream of mine since I was a little girl,” said Delahanty.
She believes investing in Tippi Toes was the best decision for her and her family as it offers flexibility, financial freedom, and the ability to spend more time with her family, which is of utmost importance to her. According to Delahanty, these reasons are exactly why she decided to continue investing in the brand, and what inspired her to open her second location in Boca Raton.
“It’s really important to me to be an involved mom. I want to be at all of my daughter’s school events and be in her life, and this allows me to do that.”
Since opening more than two years ago, Catie has developed a love for the Tippi Toes community among the franchise owners and their clients. And speaking from personal experience, she says she’s never seen anything similar to what Tippi Toes has to offer. She’s grateful for the support of the franchisor’s corporate team, who she says played an integral part in getting her off the ground and running, and allowed her to be successful within her first year of operation.
“They’re amazing people, and they’re so helpful. If it weren’t for the corporate team, I don’t know if I would have had the best start,” she said. “They really do have everything laid out for you. It’s not just you against the world, you’ll have full support from Tippi Toes, and as long as you put in the leg work, you’ll have a fruitful business.”
Looking toward the future, Catie is taking it one day at a time, but she says she’s already open to the possibility of opening another location within the next year or two.
“I’d like to continue expanding into markets that will allow me to have a greater impact on children’s lives. That’s what this is all about. Being there for our children, supporting them and bringing them joy.”
