Less than a month ago, Twitter announced that GIFs are supported on the social powerhouse. On the web version, iOS and Android, GIFs are now able to be viewed in your timeline by clicking a play button that shows up on top of the GIF image. This has been a long awaited addition to Twitter’s list of features and its addition allows a much easier transition through your timeline as you no longer need to view the GIF in another browser window. Facebook does not look likely to add the feature anytime soon.
